Who we are
Vintage Market Scânteia is the trading name of Preda Sebastian PFA, CUI 54574673, registered with ONRC under number F2026022553007, based in Sector 1, Bucharest, Romania.
For anything to do with your personal data, including exercising the rights below, write to business@vms.events.
The newsletter
If you subscribe, we collect your email address. Our email provider, Kit, additionally records when you signed up, your IP address and which form you came from, and that record is the proof of your consent.
The legal basis is consent. You can withdraw it at any time, without giving a reason, using the unsubscribe link in every email we send.
We use the list for one thing: announcing the dates and venue of upcoming editions. We do not send weekly emails, and we never sell or rent the list to anyone.
We keep your address until you unsubscribe. After that we delete it from Kit within 30 days.
The volunteer form
Volunteer sign-ups go through a Google Form. There we ask for your name, contact details and availability, so we can schedule you and get in touch.
The legal basis is your consent and the steps taken before working together. We keep those responses for 12 months after the edition you signed up for, then delete them.
Messages you send us
When you email us, as a seller, sponsor, venue, press or anything else, we keep the message and your contact details so we can reply and so we have the history of the conversation.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us. We keep correspondence for 24 months.
Photographs at events
We photograph the editions and publish some of those images on this site and on social media. They are wide shots of a public event, and visitors may appear in them.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in documenting and promoting the events. If you are in a photograph and want it taken down, write to us and we will remove it, and we will not ask you why.
The prize wheel
To play the prize wheel you give us your email address and phone number first, and confirm the address with a 6-digit code we email you. Each address can play once per edition.
For every play we keep your email address, your phone number, the result, the prize code if you won, when you played and whether the code has been used at the door. We use them only to run the giveaway: to confirm the address is yours, to email winners their code, to call a winner if the email does not get through or a prize changes, to check codes at the entrance, and to keep it to one play per email. The legal basis is the giveaway you chose to enter.
It is stored in a database run by Supabase, in the European Union (Frankfurt), and deleted automatically 45 days after you play. Confirmation codes are deleted after a day. Emails with codes are sent through Resend. Unless you tick the box below, we never use these details for marketing.
Hearing about future editions is a separate, unticked box. You can play without it. If you tick it, we keep your email address, phone number, language and when you agreed on a contact list in the same Supabase database, and use them only to tell you about upcoming editions by email or SMS. The legal basis is consent. We keep them until you withdraw it: write to business@vms.events or reply to any message and we take you off the list. Your email address also goes to Kit, our newsletter provider, like any other signup.
Your result and its code are also saved in your browser, so reloading the page shows them again.
Prizes are limited and are claimed at the market, subject to availability.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses no cookies. There is no Google Analytics or any other analytics tool, and no tracking pixels. The only things your browser keeps are your prize wheel result and its code, and the fact that you have seen the wheel, so it does not appear twice. They stay on your device and disappear if you clear the site data. What is sent to us when you play is described under The prize wheel.
That is why you never see a cookie banner here: there is nothing to ask you about. The Instagram and TikTok links are ordinary links, not embedded content, so those platforms receive nothing about you while you are on this site.
The one exception is the Google map on the edition page. It is a Google Maps embed, so opening that page contacts Google and Google may set cookies, exactly as it would on Google Maps itself. No other page on this site loads anything from a third party.
Who we share data with
We do not sell data to anyone. We share it only with the providers we need in order to operate, and only as far as necessary:
Kit, for sending the newsletter. Google, for the volunteer form and for the map on the edition page. Vercel, for hosting this site, which records ordinary server requests (IP address, browser type) for security and operation.
For the prize wheel: Supabase, which stores plays of the prize wheel and the list of people who asked to hear about future editions in the European Union (Frankfurt), and Resend, which sends the emails with codes.
Apart from Supabase, which keeps its data in the European Union, these providers are in the United States. Transfers rely on the safeguards set out in their data processing terms.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to the data we hold about you, its correction, its erasure, restriction of processing, portability of your data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Write to business@vms.events and we will answer within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you have the right to complain to ANSPDCP, the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing, Bucharest, dataprotection.ro.
Age
In Romania, children under 16 need a parent’s authorisation to consent online. Our newsletter is not intended for children under 16 without it. If you find that a child under 16 has subscribed without your authorisation, write to us and we will delete the address straight away.
Changes
If we change how we use data, we update this page and the date below. Last updated: 14 September 2026.
